The world needs you. Now, the world may not exactly realize it, but wow, does it need you. It is yearning, starving, dying for you and your healing offer of service through your Art.

You can be as insecure as you want in your life, but just promise me you'll leave that insecurity out of your work. Just know, you're good enough.

When you are free from self-doubt, you fail better. Because you don't have your defenses up, you can accept the criticism. You don't become so preoccupied with that failure that you forget how to learn from it.

Anger robs creativity. Never go on stage mad.

The world will tell you that it's time to grow up and leave those foolish, youthful diversions behind. But don't fall for that. I'm here to tell you those foolish diversions are the real nectar of life. Put up a fight. Be a fool.

There is no solution to a problem that does not embrace all that we have created as a species.

What's just as important as having a plan is being able to adapt. A lot of the best things I've experienced are things I never knew or never expected or knew to prepare for.

Great stories happen to those who can tell them. The world will not do your work for you, but it will meet you more than halfway if you go after what you want with energy and passion.

Don't just think about what already exists. Think about what doesn't exist and do that.

The gap is the thing that will drive you. For the first couple years you make stuff, it's just not that good. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you.

You will eventually use everything you've ever learned.

Stay obsessed. That thing you can't stop thinking about? Keep indulging it. Obsession is the better part of success. You will be great at the things that you can't not do.
