Más de Adam Savage

Don't be afraid to be a late bloomer. Repeatedly. Remember, you have time to figure out what you want to do, who you need to be, and where you want to go. You have time to fail. You have time to try again.

La historia detrás de esta cita

Savage concluded his speech by challenging F. Scott Fitzgerald's famous claim that 'there are no second acts in American lives,' calling it 'insane.' He rattled off examples: Raymond Chandler didn't write a word of fiction until his forties, Julia Child learned to cook at forty, Clint Eastwood directed his first film at forty-one. As someone who didn't find his defining career until MythBusters premiered when he was thirty-six, Savage spoke from experience. He reminded graduates that reinvention and rebirth are intrinsic to the American experience — that there are not only second acts, but third acts, fourth acts, finales, and curtain calls.
