La historia detrás de esta cita

Carillo's career advice was refreshingly practical. She hadn't planned to become a sportscaster — she had been a professional tennis player who happened to be articulate and funny. When an injury ended her playing career, she got into broadcasting because someone offered her a chance and she took it. She got good at it, and opportunities followed. The advice was deliberately anti-strategic. Carillo wasn't telling the graduates to build a five-year plan or optimize their LinkedIn profiles. She was telling them to be curious, to try things, and to invest deeply in whatever caught their interest. Competence, she promised, would be noticed: 'There's nothing like competence. Your bosses will recognize it and appreciate that quality immediately.'
