You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.

L'histoire derrière cette citation
Bush picks up where Winston Churchill left off, invoking his famous "Never, never, never give up" and then pivoting to Wayne Gretzky's line about taking your shot. She tells graduates that a whole world of challenges and opportunities awaits them, and that the shots they miss by not trying will haunt them far more than the ones they take and fail. She acknowledges they'll miss quite a few, but argues it's the ones they make that will be remembered. It sets the tone for the rest of the speech: courage over caution.
