She didn't start writing until she was thirty, despite a 'sneaking suspicion that I could write.' She was afraid of failure, of not being good enough, of what people would think. 'And this brings me to my first big tip: DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE WILL THINK OF YOU, because first of all, they're not thinking about you.
