Chaos is often the first step in the creative process. Don't be afraid of not knowing. The act of searching is as important as the act of finding.

L'histoire derrière cette citation
Monk drew directly from her own creative process to offer advice about how to navigate uncertainty. Her work had always begun in a state of not-knowing — she would enter a rehearsal space without a script, a score, or a plan, and allow the work to emerge through improvisation and experimentation. This method had produced some of the most original performances in contemporary art. She argued that graduates should apply the same principle to their lives: that the discomfort of not knowing what comes next is not a problem to be solved but a condition to be embraced. The equation of searching with finding was a radical reframing of the anxiety that graduating seniors typically feel. It suggested that the period of confusion and exploration after graduation is not wasted time but the essential first phase of whatever they will eventually create.
