Plus de Steven Spielberg

Your conscience shouts, 'here's what you should do,' while your intuition whispers, 'here's what you could do.' Listen to that voice that tells you what you could do. Nothing will define your character more than that.

L'histoire derrière cette citation

Steven Spielberg, the legendary filmmaker behind Schindler's List, Jaws, and E.T., drew a crucial distinction between conscience and intuition. He told Harvard's graduates that for the first 25 years of life, we're trained to listen to voices that aren't our own — parents, professors, employers, mentors. Even when doubt creeps in, it's easier to nod along. Spielberg confessed he did this himself, letting the 'going along' define his character. But once he tuned into his intuition, certain projects began pulling him in while he turned away from others. It was intuition that led him from escapist blockbusters to directing 'The Color Purple,' which opened his eyes to experiences he never could have imagined and taught him that a movie could also be a mission.
