Work hard, like, every waking hour. That's the thing I would say, particularly if you're starting a company.

There is no such thing as an overnight success. It is a myth that glosses over what being an entrepreneur is all about.

Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard. Don't be content to work around the edges of your profession. Speak up. Volunteer. Show your enthusiasm. Knock on doors.

Remember that hope is not a strategy. And problems don't go away when you ignore them — they get bigger.

Dreams do not come true just because you dream them. It's hard work that makes things happen. It's hard work that creates change.

Anger robs creativity. Never go on stage mad.

If what you want is different than what you have, then you need to change what you are doing.

If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another. If you can't do the little things right, you will never do the big things right.

If you want to change the world don't ever, ever ring the bell.

I couldn't have done it a fingernail faster. I didn't leave a fingernail in that pool.

Don't worry about the plot to take over the world. Just do what is in front of you, and do it well. Working on your grand plan is like shoveling snow that hasn't fallen yet.

Don't do what makes you happy. Do what makes you great. Do what's uncomfortable and scary and hard but pays off in the long run. Be willing to fail. Let yourself fail. Fail in the way and the place where you would be proud to fail.
