Purpose

Allow that diploma you're receiving today to be a reminder of who you are and what you want. Let it be a guiding light that always brings you back to this day — when you were proud of yourself, when you were at the height of hope.

You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart.

Our nation is at its best when we realize that we all do better when we all do better.

It is an artist's duty to reflect the times in which we live. And it is also a banker's duty. It's a lawyer's duty, a doctor's duty, a teacher's duty, an engineer's duty, a plumber's duty, a nurse's duty. A mom's and dad's duty.

Love should be your North Star. Let it guide you. What does it mean to love people we don't know? It means letting go of fear and embracing our shared humanity.

Don't just dream about what you're going to do. Don't criticize somebody else for what they're not doing. You be it. Be about it. Be about that action and go do it.

Look for the job in life that you would take if you didn't need a job. Don't settle for anything eventually that's less than working for a company you admire or people you admire.

You don't have to accept what was considered normal before. You don't have to accept the world as it is. You can make it into the world as it should be and could be. You can create a new normal.

Whatever you do with your life, be a builder.

Measure happiness not by what you do as work, but by what you give to others. It is the most important lesson and the deepest source of meaning I have found in life.

Education has a more important value than money. It is deeply important to our growth as people and as a community.

The simple truth is the program you ran here is the same program. Just run it again and again and again.
