इस उद्धरण के पीछे की कहानी
Iovine's second pivotal lesson came in 1999 when he was at the peak of his career, running Interscope Records with artists like Dr. Dre, Eminem, and U2. Then Napster arrived. Terrified, he went to see Intel's Les Valdez, hoping to reason with the tech industry. After listening for twenty minutes, Valdez said: 'Wow, Jimmy, what a nice story. But not every industry was made to last forever.' Iovine said the statement nearly made him retire on the spot — he walked in thinking he was Elvis, and was gently reminded Elvis was dead. But instead of clinging to the old model, the lesson inspired him to adapt, eventually partnering with Dr. Dre to create Beats headphones.
