इस उद्धरण के पीछे की कहानी
Best-selling author John Green delivered the commencement address at Butler University in 2013, upending the conventional narrative of success with a single provocative reversal. We are taught, he said, that the hero's journey goes from weakness to strength — the ugly duckling becomes a swan, the orphan under the stairs becomes a wizard who saves the world. But Green argued that the real heroic arc runs in the opposite direction. Most of the graduates, he pointed out, were about to experience exactly this journey. They would go from being the best-informed, most engaged students at a fine university to being the person who brings coffee to people — or, as Green once was, a Steak 'n' Shake waiter. This descent into being a nobody was not a failure but the essential heroic errand, because it teaches humility, empathy, and the capacity to see other people as fully human.
