Perseverance

There may be more failures than victories. I've been blessed to have 24 Grammys, but I've lost 46 times. That meant rejection 46 times. Please don't ever feel entitled to win — just keep working harder.

Don't fall for the easy cynicism that says, 'Nothing can change.' Or that there's only one way to bring about change.

Dreams come true only if you work hard to make them come true, and they come true not just because of your own efforts but also because other people in your life help you succeed.

The simple truth is the program you ran here is the same program. Just run it again and again and again.

Nothing replaces actually doing the work. Greatness is born out of the grind, so embrace the grind.

Your life isn't some big break. It's about taking one significant life-transforming step at a time.

Your purpose is to do what you have to do until you can do what you want to do.

When I asked if I had a future as a partner, I was told no. And when I asked why, they looked at me with a smile and said: because you're a woman.

There are no shortcuts to feeling competent at what you do. It's the work.

Failure is not something to be ashamed of, it's something to be powered by. Failure is the highest octane fuel your life can run on.

Everyone gets knocked down. What matters is whether you get back up and keep going.

No just cause is futile, even if it's lost. What matters is to keep going, no matter what. Keep going.
