Historia tego cytatu

Calhoun saved his most serious point for his discussion of integrity, which he placed at the foundation of everything else he had talked about. In a business world scarred by recent corporate scandals — Enron, WorldCom, Tyco — the topic carried particular weight. The framing was empowering: integrity isn't something that can be stolen or eroded by external forces. It's entirely within each person's control. But that empowerment also carried a burden of responsibility — if you lose your integrity, you have no one to blame but yourself. Calhoun emphasized that this applied in small moments as much as large ones. The daily choices to be honest, to keep promises, to do the right thing even when it's inconvenient — these are what build or erode the integrity that ultimately defines a career and a life.
