Help the world find its way ahead.

Susman's most succinct and powerful line came as he urged graduates to see global challenges as their own. Having served as Ambassador during a period of significant international upheaval — including the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis and the Arab Spring — he understood that the world's problems were deeply interconnected. He reminded graduates that their generation was already accepting responsibilities beyond anyone's expectations, pointing to young people in the Arab Spring who were challenging the status quo with courage and dignity. His simple charge to 'help the world find its way ahead' was both an expression of confidence in their abilities and a recognition that the path forward would require their active participation, not passive observation.
