A história por trás desta citação

Drew Brees, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, delivered a passionate and personal address at Loyola University in 2010, just months after leading the Saints to their first-ever championship. Brees and the graduating class shared a special bond—both had arrived in New Orleans in 2006, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, when moving to the city was far from a popular choice. Brees illustrated this lesson through his own story of devastating adversity. On December 31, 2005, he dislocated his throwing shoulder while playing for the San Diego Chargers, facing a contract-less offseason with an injury that scared away most teams. At the time, he thought it was the worst thing that could have happened to him. But four years later, standing before the graduates as a Super Bowl champion, he recognized it as one of the best things that ever happened—because it brought him to New Orleans. He reinforced the message with stories of Steve Jobs being fired from Apple and Ellen DeGeneres losing three years of her career after coming out, both of whom emerged stronger from their setbacks.
