People often ask me how I got into acting. The truth is I didn't get into acting. I got into everything.

A história por trás desta citação
Krasinski tells the story of arriving at Brown as a mid-year student — one of 32 kids not accepted in the fall, arriving alone, hungry, and cold in January. He tried to walk on to the basketball team but one look through the gym door sent him running. Then a flyer for a sketch comedy group called Out of Bounds caught his eye (it was nailed to a tree, which struck him as very un-Brown). Through that group he found his community and met his people. But he never threw everything into acting — by senior year his best parts were 'arm guard number four' and 'terrified hostage guest number two.' Instead, he threw everything into the brilliant people around him. When he arrived at Brown, he'd never listened to music that wasn't on the radio or seen a movie outside a multiplex. He asked friends to give him their favorites every week for four years.
