Don't send people to do it. Meet them there and help them do it, and you will be amazed how it works.

A história por trás desta citação
Hayes illustrated this leadership principle through his own family history. His grandmother didn't tell his father to go to the study table — she said, 'I'll meet you at the study table.' Hayes carried this forward with his football players: he didn't send them to tutoring, he met them there himself, thirty-five years before 'tutoring for athletes' became a common discussion. The message was clear: real leaders don't delegate from a distance. They show up alongside the people they're leading.
