Courage

There is no adversity capable of stopping you once the choice to persevere is made.

Whereas children here had ghosts and the boogeyman, our equivalents were our governments.

Revolutions not in arms but in minds — more powerful and permanent and pervasive.

Hold on to that desire for human connection. Don't let anyone scare you out of it.

It meant more to our father to see us deal with a setback and try to bounce back than to watch how we handled our successes. 'Show what you are made of,' he would say.

We human beings are a lot more resilient than we often realize.

What's next for me? I don't know. So I'm in exactly the same boat as many of you. And like you, I'm a little scared but also excited.

In every life, there will be crucial moments when having the courage to stand up for what you believe will be immensely important.

What gnaws at you? And what will you do about it?

It's about having the courage to give in to passion for an idea that makes your heart race. And if it doesn't scare you, you're probably not dreaming big enough.

What would you do if you weren't afraid? Take a moment and ask yourself that question. And then go do it.

Your life's course will not be determined by doing the things that you are certain you can do. It will be determined by whether you try the things that are hard.
