When big decisions pop up, get quiet, real quiet and listen. Turn off your phone, turn off your computer and listen to your true heart. Hear the thing that makes you feel sick with excitement and scares you because you know you will learn — and do that thing.

La historia detrás de esta cita
Jones's third piece of advice — 'choose love' — came from her father, legendary music producer Quincy Jones. He told her to live in love and not fear, advice she initially dismissed as a parental platitude until she started applying it to every decision. She began asking herself: was she scared to disappoint people, or was she excited and nervous about the unknown? The distinction between fear-based and love-based decision-making became her compass. She encouraged graduates to tune out the noise — literally turning off their devices — and listen for the thing that simultaneously terrifies and electrifies them. That, she said, is love pointing the way.
