Follow Your Heart

Love should be your North Star. Let it guide you. What does it mean to love people we don't know? It means letting go of fear and embracing our shared humanity.

Look for the job in life that you would take if you didn't need a job. Don't settle for anything eventually that's less than working for a company you admire or people you admire.

Don't let anyone tell you that you have to follow a certain path. Especially don't let fear tell you that.

You're nothing if you're not the truth. I've made a living, I've made a life, I've made a fortune — all from being true to myself.

Following your passion is not a secure choice in life, but if you can find the light and go for it, you will see that it is the best choice.

Trust your gut, keep throwing darts at the dartboard. Don't listen to the critics and you will figure it out.

When big decisions pop up, get quiet, real quiet and listen. Turn off your phone, turn off your computer and listen to your true heart. Hear the thing that makes you feel sick with excitement and scares you because you know you will learn — and do that thing.

This life is yours to fill. Nobody will taste it but you, so you should only be looking to fill it with those tasty bites you want to savor.

Just please be honest with yourself about what you think and how you feel about all of that, what you like and dislike, what angers you or scares you or saddens you or inspires you, or delights you. Those feelings are called your instincts, and you ignore them at your own peril.

Your conscience shouts, 'here's what you should do,' while your intuition whispers, 'here's what you could do.' Listen to that voice that tells you what you could do. Nothing will define your character more than that.

When it comes to the arts, passion should always trump common sense. You aren't just following dreams, you're reaching for your destiny.

You aren't here on earth to just go through the motions. If you love doing something, go after it with every part of your being.
