L'histoire derrière cette citation
After establishing that kindness is the thing that matters most, Saunders offered his end-of-speech advice with characteristic wit and urgency. He acknowledged that becoming kinder happens naturally with age — as we get older, we see how useless selfishness is, we come to love others, and we learn we're not as separate or permanent as we thought. But Saunders wasn't content to let nature take its course. His advice was to accelerate the process, to actively seek out what he called 'anti-selfishness medicines' — education, art, prayer, meditation, honest conversations with dear friends. The urgency in his voice reflected his central insight: that the danger of life is not failure but spending so much time 'succeeding' that the big questions go untended.
