Generosity leads to joy. It's simple and it's guaranteed.

L'histoire derrière cette citation
Saginaw asked graduates to pull up their mental 'must have' list for success and check if joy was on it. It wasn't on his list when he graduated either, and banks certainly don't ask for your joy quotient when renegotiating student loans. But he argued that joy sits at the top of the human experience chart, just above love and just below peace and enlightenment. The path to it is generosity, which research shows triggers a 'helper's high' in the brain that can last up to two hours. He told graduates to earn money, see the world, buy a nice car — but to know that none of those things bring joy like being generous does.
