Helping others ends up helping you more than anyone. Getting out of your own concerns and caring about someone else's life for a while reminds you that you are not the center of the universe.

It doesn't matter how slow you go, so long as you don't stop. My point is: be fair to yourselves with regards to how you view your achievements. And don't be afraid to try things outside your comfort zone.

We cannot always bend the world into the shapes we want, but we can try. We can make a concerted and real and true effort. Always just try, because you never know.

We always move forward when we say we can make this table bigger.

Hold on to that desire for human connection. Don't let anyone scare you out of it.

You take words, and you turn them into the infrastructure that keeps our world stable. A lot of you will become the quiet heroes of our country.

Stop worrying so much. Stop being scared of the unknown. Anything I worried about didn't happen. Other stuff happened, but not what I worried about.

Turn on the music really, really loud before you leave the house. It changes the way you walk out in the world.

Go find your joy. Whatever that is, go find your joy. It's what you're going to remember in the end. You're not going to remember how you worried.

It was actually very liberating. All of it helped teach me who I was by teaching me who I wasn't.

I'm not asking you kids to change the whole world. But if you're kind, you're doing far more than you know. There's nothing more powerful than kindness.

You may be shy. You may be tentative. And even, at times, you may be fragile. But you have to protect your own voice, your creative spirit, no matter what it costs.
