Don't spend so much time trying to choose the perfect opportunity, that you miss the right opportunity.

Try never to be the smartest person in the room. And if you are, I suggest you invite smarter people — or find a different room.

Right at this moment in your life, you have nothing to lose. Everything you have acquired of value is locked inside you. If you have a dream, now is the time to pursue it, before you buy furniture.

An individual was walking down the street and saw a gentleman chipping away on some stones. He said, 'What are you doing?' The gentleman grumbled, 'I'm building a stone wall.' He continued down the street and saw a second gentleman chipping stones. 'What are you doing?' This gentleman said, 'Well, I'm building a cathedral.'

The road to success can be much more fun than success itself. Define and enjoy many small successes along the way.

The most valuable asset of an organization is its people, and people working together as a team toward a shared vision is the real key to success.

Love what you do, or don't do it. Don't make a choice of any kind, whether in career or in life, just because it pleases others or because it ranks high on someone else's scale of achievement.

The positions I am about to describe are not only exalted and high paying; they also require little or no work, experience, training or knowledge. Thus they are exceptionally well suited to graduating seniors.

What I do, in my opinion, is by no means extraordinary. I am merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Selling out is usually more a matter of buying in. Sell out, and you're really buying into someone else's system of values, rules and rewards.
